About

I am Ojiugo Nweke. A few months ago, I was wife to the love of my life, Dozie. Now, I am a “previously married 35-year-old woman”. Wherever possible, I try to avoid using the word “divorce”. It makes everything final and I’m not too fond of the accompanying stigma.

Though my marriage with Dozie is over, our relationship is not. We have two beautiful children.

This is a catalog of my weekly diary entries. I try to capture recent and past pains, expectations, and happiness. I hope you learn a thing or two from my experiences.

WHO IS OJIUGO?

A 35-year-old previously married woman.

She has a son and daughter.

Financially abusive ex-husband named Dozie.

She is struggling to make ends meet. This means multiple jobs (freelancing platforms) and extreme budgeting.

She’s very smart. This is one of her most obvious features.

She has tried to learn many digital skills.

The men who want her vs the men she wants.

Spirituality

The friendships that save you vs the ones you throw away

Divorce affects everyone you know.

She has a personal disdain for the word “divorce”

Because of her horrible experiences in marriage, she has sworn off marriage but not love. In fact, she is passively looking for love.
